When people say they hate Metal!

I can't be the only person that gets infuriated when people insult or say that they hate Metal music, right?

I feel like ripping off their fucking heads. I guess they just can't appreciate good music, especially when it's coming from twats who are into shit like One Direction and Skrillex. 

Nevertheless, I try not let it get to me too much. There's no point of trying to explain to them that it is technical, and that growling is a very difficult thing to do, because they won't listen and will most likely argue.

I know that if I have a kid some day, they'll grow up on Black Metal, Gothic culture and Silent Hill.

Hm, speaking of Silent Hill, I feel like watching it right now...

Gaahl is gay: Gorgoroth

Kristian Espedal, A.K.A Gaahl, is(or was) the lead vocalist of the Norwegian Black Metal band Gorgoroth. Deemed "the evil face of Black Metal", he came out publicly in 2008. 

After coming out, many of his fans were in disbelief, saying that it was just a publicity stunt. However, when it had been confirmed, a brawl apparently ensued backstage at the Wacken Open Air(W.O.A) festival after anti-gay remarks were made by a certain person, landing the person in hospital. In an interview with Rock Hard magazine, he revealed that people have been treating him positively afterwards.

Gaahl, who released a clothing line called Wynjo with his boyfriend, explains the clothing line as well as him being gay in this interview with FaceCulture.

Well, I guess you could say that this was my reaction when I first found out...

I think I died a little inside.

Gaahl, then I'm just going to have to tie you to a bed, blindfold you, and fuck you senseless. Mmkay?

Metalheads...

Metalheads. Oh Metalheads. Where are you in my country?

FUCK.

Sadly, I don't have ANY Metal friends that are in my area. I would kill for friends like the two in this picture.
Metalheads are so rare that I only ever see one now and then, bearing in mind that I wouldn't get the chance to talk to them because I would see one when I'm crossing the road, or walking through a mall etc etc...
And I'm really shy.

Metalheads are only ever from the UK or the US or the places where Metal bands actually tour to.
American Death Metal band Lamb of God announced that they were touring to my country in 2014, but due to my parents being insanely harsh and over-protective, I'm not allowed to go.
*cries*

Well, this is one of the things that stings the most.
Like I said, of course I see the odd Metalhead now and then, but the problem is..

THEY'RE WITH A GIRL. FML.

I await the day that I see a Metalhead who is single and interested.

I often get incredibly confused when I search the lyrics for songs by Black Metal bands. Mainly because it's either in old English, has very complicated and long words, or some sentences don't even make any fucking sense.

I just had to say...

Christians Against Metal

Being a huge fan of Metal, Black Metal mainly, I often come across Christians slating it.

Comments include:

-"You should stay here and listen to these posers and pretend yer not an inadequate little teen loser"
-"This shit sucks. This band should take a page from nickleback. Seriously these guys are gay, they wear makeup. No talent in this shit, plus they are Satan worshipers."
-"christ loves us and wants to save us"
-"Gorgoroth are pussy ass bitches, they wear all that shit cuz they are soft wimpy satan fags! Satans a pussy ass bitch too!! Fight for a real cause, stop hiding behind the devil you weak cowards!!"
-"one of the most horrible genres in the history of music "

and the list goes on.

I really hate people likes this. Why go to a video that you KNOW will offend you and hate and post horrid comments about the band, the religion and the genre?

This is my reaction when I see comments like these, and what I want to do to their heads:

If you oppose Lord Satan, please do us all a favour and leave us alone, you don't see us slating your religion. And my friends, if you do disrespect their religion, you're just as immature as they are.

Per Yngve Ohlin. May you rest in peace.

Per Ohlin, better known as Dead of Mayhem, killed himself in 1991.

I've always taken a strong liking to him. I'm not quite sure why... I've read a lot about him, with one site even describing him as "introverted, shy, very calm, depressive, melancholic and even schizophrenic". I guess I see a bit of myself in him, but there's something about him that is so magnetic for me that I can't quite put my finger on. I would have done anything to spend time with him, regardless of the fact that he's apparently very hard to get close to.

and he's attractive. Hehe.

Dead used to be the lead vocalist for death metal band Morbid, but left the band because he felt like the musical concepts were not what he wanted. He then joined Mayhem, where he shared an old house with Euronymous and Hellhammer. The same house he shot himself in. The band changed a lot since Per joined, as the band's sound changed along with the lyrics.
From what I understand, Per was fascinated by death, the afterlife and darkness. He always saw himself as a dead man, hence his nickname.
He was considered quite strange to most people. It was said that he used to bury clothing in the ground and leave it for a long time, then wear the rotting and torn clothing during their concerts.


On the 8th of April, 1991, Dead first attempted to kill himself by means of cutting his wrists with a kitchen knife. However, he felt it was taking too long to bleed out so he used the shotgun belonging to Euronymous to shoot himself, leaving a suicide note saying:

"Excuse all the blood"

Pictures of the scene were taken by fellow band member, Euronymous(who even encouraged Per to kill himself), and the pictures were sent to Warmaster Records to be put on their next album.

Rest in peace Per. Rest in peace.

Corpse Paint

Corpse paint is a style of black and white paint/makeup that is used mainly on Black Metal band members during their concerts, photo shoots etc.

For example:

Nergal of Behemoth:

 Abbath of Immortal:

Infernus of Gorgoroth:

The entire face and neck is painted white, with usually the lips and eyes painted black. However, most Black Metal musicians prefer to have a "unique" style of corpse paint.

Take Shagrath of Dimmu Borgir for example, who likes to have smudged lines on his cheeks:

Some Black Metal musicians have fake, or even sometimes real, blood combined with their corpse paint.

Gaahl of Gorgoroth:

It is very seldom that other colours for corpse paint are used.

Corpse paint was started by early rock groups such as KISS, Alice Cooper etc. in the 1970s. By the 1980s, Hellhammer, Venom and a couple of others were the first Extreme Metal bands to wear corpse paint.
The first Norwegian Black Metal band to wear corpse paint was Mayhem, the lead vocalist Dead(R.I.P) to be more specific. More Black Metal bands followed.

Burzum, Emperor and Satyricon stopped wearing corpse paint because they felt it had lost it's meaning and became trendy.


Funny enough, corpse paint is even worn by some famous wrestlers. Dafuq.

Varg Vikernes- The Murder of Euronymous

Kristian Larsson Vikernes, A.K.A Varg Vikernes, is a musician and writer who founded the one-man Black Metal band Burzum in 1991. He partook in 3 church arsons(which I am in complete support of) with other members of the Black Metal scene.

In 1993, he recorded an album with fellow Norwegian Black Metal band Mayhem, in which he played Bass.

Euronymous, who played guitar for the almost 30 year old band, often encouraged fellow band member Dead to kill himself. Euronymous loved the idea of Mayhem being an "evil" band, and it has been said that he didn't think there was ANYTHING in this world that was sick, twisted or cruel.

After Dead's suicide(R.I.P), Hellhammer, the drummer, had this to say:

"Øystein(Euronymous) called me up the next day ... and says, "Dead has done something really cool! He killed himself!". I thought, have you lost it? What do you mean cool? He says, "Relax, I have photos of everything". I was in shock and grief. He was just thinking how to exploit it. So I told him, "OK. Don't even fucking call me before you destroy those pictures"

One of the pictures was then sent to Warmaster Records to be put on the cover of the band's live album, "Dawn Of The Black Hearts".

It was rumoured that Euronymous stewed and ate parts of Dead's brain, and made necklaces from bits of his skull. After an interview with the band, he denied the eating of his brain but the necklaces that were made was true.

Tensions rose between Varg and Euronymous, which eventually led to the murder of the now former guitarist. Varg explains in this video:

If you are in a Christian/Catholic household, it is recommended that you go somewhere quiet and isolated so you cannot be disturbed or heard.

• A dry pen, where you sign your name in blood (dip the tip of the pen in your blood)

Write the following prayer:
Before the almighty and ineffable God Satan/Lucifer and in the presence of all Demons of Hell, who are the True and the Original gods, I, (state your full name) renounce any and all past allegiances. I renounce the false Judeo/Christian god Jehova, I renounce his vile and worthless son Jesus Christ, I renounce his foul, odious, and rotten holy spirit.
I proclaim Satan Lucifer as my one and only God. I promise to recognize and honor him in all things, without reservation, desiring in return, his manifold assistance in the successful completion of my endeavors.

-It is important to bathe before any rituals you perform, this is done out of respect.-

When you are ready, you can light the candle. 
-Take the needle, prick the index finger of your left hand, squeeze some blood out.
-Sign your name in blood.
-Recite the prayer either aloud or in your head
-Fold the paper and let it burn in the fire of the candle. Many stay and meditate until the candle had burned itself out.
-At the end of the ritual, close with the words "So mote it be." And a Big "HAIL SATAN!"
